Digital Marine Citizenship Toolkit

Plymouth University

The digital Marine Citizenship Toolkit is a practical guide exploring how digital and creative tools can help people connect with, care for and take action for their local seas. Developed with practitioners, researchers, artists and communities across the UK, the toolkit offers ideas and frameworks for creating inclusive, place-based experiences that turn awareness into marine stewardship and action.

From digital storytelling and citizen science to immersive technologies, the project explores how creativity and technology can strengthen connections between communities and the marine environment, support participation, and help shape sustainable coastal futures.

Hutch led the editorial design, creating a clear and engaging visual system to organise the toolkit’s research, insights and practical guidance.
